I only just heard the news that Communities on X are being sunsetted by end of May. (Of course just after I set up the best custom-built anti-spam system yet!)
🚨 I'm open to suggestions to how best help promote other accounts sharing nude scenes from film and TV.
Nikita Bier is suggesting XChat as a replacement, but that's capped at 350 members, which obviously doesn't fit the near 100k we have at the moment.
The most direct suggestion that comes to my mind is hosting Megathreads that are pinned in which everyone shares their scenes and obviously the point is to go through the replies rather than just the base post. This is a possible solution, but it obviously has some drawbacks compared to how Communities worked.
Another thing I considered was hosting and/or distributing some sort of basic script that creates custom streams of posts based on signups. This is doable, but I don't know whether most people would be put off by the invasiveness of running unvetted scripts, and also there's the issue of cross-OS compatibility.
I briefly considered going really super duper old school and just promoting one hashtag that I and others use every time as a quick way to get everyone's posts with a single click, but that leaves itself open to the same spam that's been plaguing the community but without any way to actually filter it out.
So... yeah. If anyone has any suggestions about any of that, please do share. I'm sure you all agree that seeing quality posts of scenes from a greater variety of accounts is better than just from one.
